I have been to Lemoine about five times in August and once in late May(it was about 25 years ago).  The walleye were stacked below Cooper Falls, also a few brook trout.  The water was up so we could motor all the way to the last rapids before the falls.  I think we carried a boat about 100 yards around the rapids and left it there for the week as well as fished from a canoe.  There should also be some fish in the hole at the first rock outcrop around the first big bend in the river and maybe in the deeper hole just before entering the river.  We also caught a lot of walleye in the 20 foot hole next to the island mid lake.  The water was high enough to motor within about 50 yards of Hidden Lake, instead taking the 15 minute trail.  Hidden Lake has some bigger walleye and sometimes jumbo perch but can be slow at times.  Look for the sunken ridge south of the middle of the lake.  This was a long time ago but should give you some spots to try.  Also, if you are adventurous you might try Carty Creek.  There isn't really a trail but we bushwacked a canoe through the woods and caught some goodsized walleye in the pond where the creek widens.

That is not encouraging. We’ve booked Lemoine for 3rd week in June next year.  Anyone else been into Lemoine this year?

Mark K.
Were the insects that were hatching the big mayflies?  How deep were you fishing?  What lures were you using both at Lemoine and Oswald?

Seriously, has only one person been to Lemoine Lake this year? Is that because the lake is fished out or nobody wants to give up any good info about a hot spot?

You may want to talk to hoselayer or see his enty of 2/14/2009.  He has fished Lemoine numerous times and has "hotspots" on lake.  Can contact George for his number..
