Have you tried using bottom bouncer weights for walleyes?  They come in multiple weights for varying conditions and are almost snag free when used properly.  They can be used with all sorts of live bait rigs and spinners as well as hard baits like rapalas or thin fins.  We have used them in many Walleye/Saugeye tournaments in Ohio and they outfish most other methods day in and day out.  And, they are very reasonably priced.  Please comment if you have used them in this region of Canada and with what and how they performed and any other secrets you may have.  Thanks, Tim.

I tried them for half of a day with no luck. I know they work great here in Ohio, but I didnt have the same result up north.

Doesnt mean they wont work for you.

i too have used them seberal times on several trips, with limited success.  Actually I way over pack my gear and only end up using a hand full of things, for walleye, lindy rig, jigs and a few crankbaits.

Im telling you bring them. We got back from a fly in outpost camp about a week ago and caught all our big walleye on bottom bouncers with crawler harness. A full wrom killed the big walleye. We caught at least a dozen over 26 inchs with this method. One got to the 30 inch mark. Just bring them they cant hurt. If you want any other information we caught them on just drop me a line.

Go spartans,
Jamie

Tried them again this year to no avail. I think I may have too short of a leader after the BB. I may make some harnesses that are 30-36" for next year and give 'em a try. I like having options so I probably shouldnt take them out of the rotation just yet.
