Been going to Nemegosenda Lake since 1969 when George and Merle Mains owned the place and it was called The Chapleau Outpost.  Returned last week from spending 6/13-6/20, and as always, had a great time.  Fishing was a bit on the slow side but we always caught fish.  Rapids next to camp is always good in the evening with jigs and Rapalas.  So was the last bay with the white rock just before the Big Alcorn.  Black flies were bad, but we just wore head nets and then they were no problem.  Saw four bears coming up on 129, two during the week, 2 more including a sow with cubs on 129 going back!  First time in forty years we had to wait until after lunch to fly out because of the weather.  My only recommendation would be to take your own fish finder if you have one.  Out of our four boats, I think we only had one that worked as it should have.  It makes a big difference to see where you are marking fish.  I will definitely take my own next time.  (To be fair, this was the first time since I've gone up there and they started putting fish finders in the boats that we had this problem).

If you are hungry during your week at NLL, it's definitely your own fault.  Lina's been a fantastic cook.  I gained five pounds just during the week up there.  George and Jeanne have definitely made great improvements since Bruce owned the place.

Looking forward to our return, hopefully soon!
